Exporting DICOM files (.dcm) from PreXion
Overview of steps

Create a Desktop folder
Name it with the patient’s full name.

Open the CBCT scan
In PreXion, find the patient in the list.

Download the study
Right-click the patient → Study Management → Download Study (or choose Quick Download).

Select the export location
Select the patient folder on the Desktop, then click OK. The DICOM files will begin exporting.

Verify the download
Check that the number of downloaded files matches the CBCT scan files.

Locate exported files (if needed)
Path: C:\PreXion3Dviewer\Quick Export

ZIP the folder (do not skip)
Right-click the folder → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder.

Upload the ZIP
Upload the zipped folder to the IDR portal request form.
Ready to Submit Your Case?
Create your portal account and upload your CBCT scan to start an interpretation request. You’ll receive email updates when your case is received and accepted.
