Exporting DICOM files (.dcm) from Sirona
Overview of steps

Create a Desktop folder
Name it with the patient’s full name.

Open the CBCT scan
Launch SIDEXIS 4 and open the patient’s CBCT.

Open the export tool
Top toolbar → Output (right side) → DICOM Exam Export

Settings tab: select volume only
Check: Include the main volume only.
Uncheck: all other options.

Export tab: keep data non-anonymized
Make sure Anonymization is unchecked.

Choose export folder
Click “…” next to export directory → select the patient folder → OK to start export.

ZIP the folder (do not skip)
Right-click the folder → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder.

Upload the ZIP
Upload the zipped folder to the IDR portal request form.
Ready to Submit Your Case?
Create your portal account and upload your CBCT scan to start an interpretation request. You’ll receive email updates when your case is received and accepted.
