How to Submit Your Case

On our HIPAA-compliant platform, you can do it all. You can submit an interpretation request, upload the CBCT DICOM file, download the completed report, view and pay your invoice and chat with the radiologist.

Step-by-step Guide to Submitting a Case

Create your portal account

First, register to access the secure portal. The portal allows for case submission, status tracking, and report downloads. Once your initial setup is complete, please log off and then log back in.

Start a new request

In the portal, start a new interpretation request. This creates a case record where scan details, notes, and service options are selected.

Add patient details and clinical notes

Provide basic patient information and share your clinical question or concerns. The more context you include, the more targeted and useful the interpretation will be (implant planning, pathology concern, nerve mapping, etc.).

Upload DICOM image data (.zip)

Attach your DICOM image files as a ZIP archive. Uploading may take a few minutes depending on file size and internet speed. If you are submitting multiple scans, upload one ZIP file per study.

Select the service

Choose the interpretation service and add any optional add-ons. If clinical notes indicate additional complexity, the appropriate service level will be confirmed before proceeding.

Submit and receive confirmation

Once submitted, a confirmation email is sent. A second notification is sent when the case is accepted for interpretation. Case status can be monitored inside the portal.

FAQ

Who can submit a case?

Our services are available to licensed U.S.-based dental professionals, including general dentists, specialists, and group practices or DSOs.

Patients seeking a second opinion are encouraged to ask their dentist to submit the case or contact us for guidance.

How do I submit the interpretation request?

All studies are submitted through our secure portal, where you can upload cases, download reports, pay invoices, and communicate directly with the radiologist.

What files should I upload?

  • CBCT Studies

Upload CBCT scans in DICOM format. Each study typically consists of several hundred DICOM files (.dcm) and should be compressed into a single ZIP folder before upload. Please do not anonymize the images before exporting or saving the study.

  • Panoramic and 2D Images

Upload the original DICOM file whenever possible, as it allows image adjustment and enhanced evaluation. If a DICOM file is unavailable, JPG or PNG files may be submitted provided they include the patient’s name and the date of image acquisition.

If you experience any issues uploading files, please contact us.

Why ZIP your DICOM folder?

CBCT studies contain hundreds of individual DICOM files. Compressing the folder into a ZIP file reduces upload errors and improves upload efficiency.

To ZIP the folder:

  1. Locate the patient’s DICOM folder.
  2. Use your computer’s built-in compression feature (e.g., Compress on Mac or Send toCompressed (zipped) folder on Windows) to create a ZIP archive.
  3. Upload the resulting .zip file through the portal.

What information should I include with my interpretation request?

Please include relevant medical and dental history, including prior trauma, cancer, radiation therapy, symptoms, and clinical findings when applicable.

Providing a clear clinical question and identifying specific areas of concern helps focus the interpretation and allows for more clinically relevant recommendations.
